Overview

In this article, we will review move-in history.

Move-In History

The Move-In History sheet provides an evaluation of average move-in rates relative to the set room selling rates. It aids in identifying how well communities

are performing against market rates.

  • The "Move-In Rate Summary" chart presents a clear view of the number of move-ins, the average move-in rate, and the average selling rate over time,
  •  helping you easily track and compare these key metrics month over month.
  • The Variance to Selling Rate chart reveals the percent difference between the average move-in rate and the selling rate over time. This data gives
  •  insights into how well the communities are meeting their market rate goals.
  • The pivot table delivers an organized view of the monthly number of move-ins, average move-in rate, average selling rate, and the average variance.
  • This summary offers a quick and easy way to observe trends and compare metrics across different time periods.

Layout Tips

  • Using the sidebar on the left-hand side, filter by Room Type or Care Type to get a more tailored view of the move-in history.

Questions to Get Started

Are move in rates meeting the targeted selling rate (market rate) of the room?

  • To evaluate whether we are achieving the selling rate, refer to the Variance to Selling Rate graph. Consistently negative values suggest that rooms are generally being sold below the target rate. Sharp drops in a particular month might require further investigation to determine the cause (e.g., was there a particular marketing strategy that month offering lower move in rates?)

Does one Room Type greatly impact this data?

  • To determine if a particular Room Type has a notable impact on the move-in data, select each Room Type in the left panel individually. Observe any significant negative shifts in the Variance to Selling Rate graph.
